Pricing

Priced per school, not per headache.

Every school reports differently, so we price Lantern the same way: one plan for your whole school, scaled to your size and the scope you need. Tell us about your school and we’ll send a quote. No per-seat maths, no surprises.

01 · How pricing works

One licence for your whole school.

Lantern is licensed per school rather than per login, so every teacher who writes reports can use it without you counting seats mid-term. What you pay depends on a few simple things: the size of your school, whether you want full AI drafting or compliance checking alone, and how much onboarding and rule configuration you’d like from us. We’ll work that out with you on a short call and put it in writing.

[PLACEHOLDER: pricing model is not yet finalised]. We are still settling whether Lantern is sold as fixed school tiers, a per-student rate, a per-teacher rate or an annual licence. The cards below are indicative only; your quote will reflect the model we confirm at launch.

02 · Indicative plans

A rough shape, while we finalise the details.

To give you a sense of scale, here is how plans might be grouped. Treat every figure as a placeholder. The real numbers come from your quote.

Primary and smaller secondary schools

[PLACEHOLDER: included seats / student cap]

Most schools

Most P–12 and secondary schools

School groups, dioceses and systems

Figures shown in brackets are placeholders. Nothing here is an offer or a quote.

03 · What’s included

The same product, whatever your size.

Smaller schools don’t get a cut-down Lantern. Every plan includes the full product: drafting, compliance checking, the class flow, exports and the onshore data guarantees. Price scales with scale, not with which features you’re allowed to touch.

  • Voice-matched drafting from each teacher's own past reports
  • Your school's reporting rules, checked on every comment
  • Dictation, autosave and Save-and-Next class flow
  • Whole-class-set drafting from a CSV of notes
  • Export to DOCX, PDF and CSV
  • Compliance-checker-only mode for comments written elsewhere
  • All data hosted onshore: AWS Sydney, disaster recovery in Melbourne
  • Immutable audit trail of every view and change
  • Unlimited teacher accounts within your licence
  • Onboarding, rule configuration and email support

04 · The value

Cheaper than a Sunday, and than the alternative.

Many schools already pay for report quality, whether that’s buying in external proofreaders and editors each reporting cycle, or paying it in the unbilled weekends teachers give up. Lantern folds drafting and compliance checking into one per-school licence, so the comments arrive in each teacher’s own voice, already checked against your policy, before anyone reaches for the red pen.

External editors
Billed per report or per hour, every cycle, and the comments still don’t sound like the teacher who knows the student.
Teacher overtime
The most expensive option of all, paid in goodwill and burnout, and the first thing to give way under workload.
Lantern
One predictable per-school licence. Voice-matched drafts, checked against your rules, with the teacher still the author and approver.

[PLACEHOLDER: quantified saving vs external editing, pending real benchmark data]. We’ll happily build a like-for-like comparison against your current reporting spend during a demo.

Tell us about your school. We’ll send a number.
